Interior Photography at Duke of Tokyo: A Visual Story
Exactly a month ago, the Duke of Tokyo, Amsterdam’s first Japanese karaoke bar, opened its doors on Reguliersdwarsstraat. I had the privilege of capturing the stunning interior of this unique space with my photography.
The interior design of Duke of Tokyo creates an atmosphere that transports visitors straight to the streets of Tokyo. From the intimate seating areas in the front of the bar to the neon-lit karaoke booths in the back, every corner is a visual treat. The vibrant blend of Japanese influences, neon signs, posters, and graffiti provides an ideal subject for photography. Whether you’re shooting the cozy bar area or the energetic karaoke rooms, the dynamic ambiance allows for a range of creative shots.
As Colourful Rebel perfectly described it: “As though you’re walking through the narrow and mysterious streets of Tokyo, that’s the feeling you get when entering the Duke of Tokyo.” This vivid description reflects the essence of the space, and I had the opportunity to encapsulate this essence through my lens.
Additionally, my photographs has been featured in Entree Magazine, but some of my favorite shots are showcased here. The combination of intimate lighting and bold design elements made capturing the Duke of Tokyo a rewarding experience. Each image I took highlights the energetic yet cozy atmosphere that the venue offers.
