Fashion Photography: Patta Seersucker Packs & Urban Style
Inspiration can often strike in the most unexpected places. For years, I biked past a hidden spot under a bridge — a place that always caught my photographic eye. The light was what intrigued me the most. At midday, a harsh strip of sunlight would slice through the darkness, creating sharp contrasts. But in the early mornings and late afternoons, the same spot transformed into a soft, glowing pocket of light, offering a completely different vibe.
I always knew I’d shoot there. But as I biked back and forth, the right concept didn’t come to me right away. That is, until this summer, when Patta released their iconic seersucker packs. Instantly, I fell in love, and the vision clicked. The tough, urban feel of the bridge combined with the refined elegance of the seersucker fabric was the perfect contrast.
For this shoot, I wanted to amplify the moody atmosphere of the location, so I brought in smoke machines to add depth. The hidden space under the bridge, with its dark corners and gritty texture, became the perfect backdrop for creating an edgy, cinematic look. Both models wore matching Patta seersucker packs and HÉLAS protective masks, creating a unified and powerful aesthetic. The smoke swirled around them, enhancing the intensity and making the clothing pop against the raw, urban environment.
The combination of Patta’s soft, refined seersucker design with the gritty, industrial surroundings of the bridge, along with the mystery of the HÉLAS masks and the haze from the smoke, made this shoot feel surreal. The contrast between urban grit and streetwear elegance spoke to the essence of modern fashion: unpolished, bold, and unexpected.
Fashion photography isn’t just about capturing clothing — it’s about telling a story through the environment. And sometimes, that story is found in the most overlooked places. The bridge, the smoke, the dark corners — all came together to create a striking narrative that could only exist in this moment and space.
